Why do your PhD in Israel?

Israel is an ideal destination for students seeking high standard study and research opportunities.

When international students pursue their academic goals in Israel, they become valued members of a community that is internationally recognized for excellence with a long-standing tradition in innovation. Through international collaboration Israel brings the best and brightest minds together.

Outstanding Excellence

The Israeli researchers are famous worldwide for their excellence. One visible indication is their outstanding share of Nobel Prizes in sciences: a nation of much less than 1% of the world population has produced well over 20% of the Nobel laureates.

Since 2002, 8 Israelis have been awarded the Nobel Prize in the fields of Chemistry and Economics.

Israel – a country of 8.1 million, 65 years old, with few natural resources – produces more start-up companies than large nations like Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada and the UK.

Israel is a hotbed of innovative activity, with the world’s highest R&D expenditure to GDP, world’s largest number of companies in the NASDAQ outside the U.S., the fifth country in the world in number of patents per capita, and a huge number of local high-tech companies.

Israeli Higher Education institutions welcome Brazilian students!
